Not worth it down the road

Samsung you let me down 4/11/2019

I will start off by saying I was originally happy with the product and thought it was great. But some where around 9 months in it got quirks like not staying connected to the internet, no big deal just a little annoying. Then there were issues with the screen not displaying but clearly being on my the light indicator and then if I connected it to something else, TV or project screen you could see content. Issue fixed itself the first time when the battery died. The second thru 4th times I reset it. Then one day it early March it couldn't detect any wifi. This was an issue with the Qualcomm whatever it is and troubleshooting it I found several resources that stated this is an issue with windows and there were several fixes but they all required downloading, well that doesn't really work. But hey that got solved with some help. Next I needed to reset it and then it would no longer load windows. Thanks to the help of Geek Squad that issue was solved. Today it worked fine this am and by afternoon won't turn on. Despite being charged. Call for customer service which was of no help. Then was given a ticket number and a repair center referral. To be told there is a holding fee of 300 dollars because it is out of warranty. So I get having to pay but that is just ridiculously ridiculous! Not to mention I am a Samsung brand loyalist. I just got the S10. Now I don't expect a discount for this I just expect quality! The tablet is a year and a half old and gets used less than every TV or phone I have, but yet has had a lot of issues. Samsung this is not your lane, I could have purchased an iPad pro or a Surface Pro, and probably wouldn't be writing this review. In fact if you are really debating the others. Get them. Don't waste your time or money.

Its see,s to be great at first but after the first month my screen was coming off, the pen stopped working and now one of the USD ports (after 3 visits to the samsung tech center) its not working either. Now guarantee is off and I am stuck with a not fully working PC. I do not recommend it.

amazing product with one issue

I've had the book arpund 6 months now and it performs today as it did when I first unboxed it, including battery life. I'm not sure how they got 11 hrs out of it perhaps power saving lowest brightness airplane mode because at best I get two hours of actual use or streaming. it has a function to save the battery by only charging to 85% but I cant use it cause I need all I can get. I did buy external batteries that I carry for extra power. this device is amazing but if you require more than a couple hours w/o a plu in better pass this one up.

I've had mine for a couple months now & have been more than satisfied.. i love the idea of a full blown i5 chip windows computer in tablet form.. i'm moving on from a surface pro 3, & they're both similar, but Samsung has the better pen, though surface has the better keyboard, and wished Samsung had put a stand on the back of the actual unit, rather than having to use keyboard to prop it up.. otherwise I recommend it for someone in the tablet form computer field for sure

I've used the Galaxy Book 12" for almost a month now and it has yet to let me down or keep me waiting. The 4 gigs of RAM paired with the Intel i-5 processor packs a bunch of horsepower. The included keyboard and s pen are a great set of add ons as this has taken over and replaced my MacBook pro laptop. Samsung Galaxy Book 12 With Verizon LTE is definitely worth the value. Great job Samsung

I wanted a real computer and this fits to a T. I can hold it in my hands as a Tablet or a Laptop. The only thing I miss from my old laptop is OK Google. I do not understand how to use Cortana. The Samsung Book is awesome.

Very Good product but can"t give it 5 for one reason

I have had this device for a week now and I like it a lot but the specs keep me from giving 5 stats. The 4 G Verizon chip is the reason to purchase for me. That was an unintended bonus I did not think that feature would be anything but ok it has a SIM card but I am on the go 50 hours a week running my mobile I.T. Company I no longer have to mess with tethering or finding a free Wi-Fi source. That feature there makes it for me. Another awesome feature is the Samsung Flow, I saw my kid do this when he was all about Mac, his phone could talk to his Mac Book. Samsung Flow does that and does that very well. It makes me a lot more efficient and productive when I can respond to a text on my device instead of stopping what I am doing reaching for my phone.... Samsung Flow works extremely well and was another bonus find on this device. Regarding the Specs, this is an awesome device if it was 2010. I mean pairing an i5 with 4 Gig Ram and 128 SSD? Samsung could have done better for this price point which is only reason I am not giving 5 stars. I love the device in all other aspects and am very happy with my purchase.

This is a beautiful tablet that has all the features I wanted but I thought I wouldn't mind the ocassional fan noise. I was wrong it's not occasional and I can't stand it even if it were. I kept using it for 14 days because I love the AMOLED screen and it was a lot cheaper than the Surface Pro, but the fan noise was a deal breaker. Also all my stuff is USB-A so I don't really care for the USB-C connectors (and it doesn't provide any adapter).

This is a great tablet, but if you are looking to switch from an Apple product to a Samsung Microsoft product do not expect a lot of applications that you used with Apple to be there for Microsoft. A lot of companies need to design applications for Microsoft tablets. OTHER than that this is an outstanding product from Samsung.

Great product but it has a few quirky flaws

I purchased this shortly after it came out. Within 3 days i had to replace it because the bluetooth adapter, according to the device manager, kept disconnecting from the motherboard. It kept saying the hardware wasnt connected anymore and to reinstall it before I could use it again. Factory resetting the tablet fixed this issue each time, but it happened 3 times in the 1st 3 days I had it. The replacement tablet that I got hasnt had that issue yet but I discovered another fatal flaw that gets REALLY ANNOYING after a while. The keyboard keeps going to sleep after a minute or so of inactivity. I use my new laptop / tablet for work and am on it quite a bit on spreadsheets and emails. It really works well for this. The issue I have is after about 30 to 60 seconds of not typing anything, the keyboard "goes to sleep" and takes 1 or 2 key presses to wake it back up. If I start typing with out waking it back up, the first few keystrokes aren't registered and I have to backspace and restart typing. This is particularly annoying when typing in passwords. To get around this, I am now using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard but occasionally they lose connection too and take a few seconds to wake up. Not sure if it is a hardware issue in the bluetooth adapter or what... On a good note though, the display is GORGEOUS! Very bright and crisp colors. It turns on and restarts VERY FAST so if there is a bug, restarting doesn't take several minutes like on a normal laptop. The expandable memory slot is a great addition. With remapping the SD card slot, you can trick the computer into thinking it is internal memory and can install apps on it. Great feature to use if you use cloud storage like dropbox which stores copies of the files locally on the HDD. The processor and graphics card seem to be good and strong for a compact system. I can run games like 7 days to die and Minecraft on it with the settings set to low and it runs them fairly well. Impressive for a tablet computer! Sorry for the long review. Basically, I am satisfied with my tablet. It could be much better, but overall am happy that I got it. If you want a windows tablet that has Verizon 4G LTE, this is a great option if you have the patience to work around some random bugs. Samsung is great at correcting these kinds of issues in later builds. For this reason, I usually dont jump on new product releases, but I had an urgent need for a replacement tablet fast as my last one decided to brick in the middle of a big project.

I was in the market for a new computer.. and wanted a 2 n 1 but wanted Windows. This one fits the bill perfectly. It is a bit heavy.. but again.. its a real computer. Keyboard and pen with it are great.. but the built in Verizon 4 g was the deciding factor.
