I bought this device since launching and I'm still using it primarily among other PCs and gadgets... it is well designed and conceptual.
I wonder why did Samsung stopped this concept and copied the MS Surface concept ? Which I have but still prefer my Book.

So I have even asked some of the well know reviewers why they don't talk about this PC. But they say they only got the 12 inch one. What's different about this 10.6 model is it's they only over that can use a power bank and actually charge to fill while using it. It's truly the best travel product I have every bought.

This is the fastest and best 2 in 1 and has replaced my use of a computer. It works with all of my Samsung electronics. I am so pleased! I would give this a 5 out of 5 rating.it is small but powerful.

The Galaxy Book looks like a tablet with a keyboard attached and of course the nifty drawing pen. But it also has the windows 10 operating system, which I had no clue how to use. Cortana is the assistant that helps you navigate everything, including the hardware and software, but there is also a tips app loaded on the computer itself. It also comes loaded with different drawing apps and sticky notes. The screen resolution on the Galaxy Book is absolutely amazing. I had no issues with WiFi setup and it picked up my devices vey quickly with no issues. Printed documents immediately, didn't have to find a driver.
There were a couple things I did not care for though. Main one being no USB port, the screen tends to come unmatched from the keyboard very easily and i wish it had a better prop up for the screen. The computer can be a bit awkward if bearing down on your leg or anything else other than a table. When I transferred some music via Bluetooth it downloaded pretty quick.
All in all, I do enjoy the Galaxy Book.

My device came in great condition and was very easy for me to set up. As a windows 10 user, I was expecting my first day to be full of updates and playing with the settings. It would be nice if these kinds of updates were already done but I understand why it is that way.
I enjoy having the power of a small PC in the size of a tablet; I recently started making simple designs and drawing again so it is nice to have a portable drawing pad I can use whenever and wherever I need one.
It would be nice if the device came with a good app for drawing but again, I understand why it doesn't.
My only real issue with the product is the fact that there is no way to safely store the pen tool on the device or the provided case/keyboard. I would like a little groove cut into the keyboard part or some kind of holder on the device or the case/keyboard.
I felt like the product was explained well and I got exactly what I was expecting. I really enjoy using it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants a tablet sized PC.

Very Good 2-in-1 Unit!

Pros
-Portable design
-Good screen
-Keyboard cover and stylus included
-Expandable microSD slot up to 256GB
Cons
-Only one connection port USB-C
-Average performance
This is a great option when looking for good portable 2-in-1 device. The price point is comparable to other unit out there but what make the Galaxy Book a better deal is that it come with a keyboard and an excellent stylus!
They keyboard is magnetically attached to the unit upon contact with a solid feel with no wobbling! The keyboard is also a protective folio and a stand for the multiple viewing angles. On solid surface the keyboard is very good but is a tad awkward when trying to type on your lap.
The S Pen, an pressure sensitive stylus, is a great accessories that I am glad Samsung decided to include. I enjoy using it to take notes and do quick sketches with. The stylus is kept secure by a tab that is attached to the keyboard, which does seem like an afterthought on the design, but it does keep the stylus secure.
The Galaxy Book 10.6 come with the latest Intel Core m3 Processor, 4GB Ram, 64GB of storage and with Full HD screen at 1920 x 1280. Running on Window 10, it is great unit for everyday task, note taking, office work, web browsing, video chat, and movies. For ultra-portability and everyday use, this unit can't be beat.
Other features that the Galaxy Book 10.6 has is the latest USB Type-C connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, Stereo headphone jack, GPS, Dual Speakers, a 5MP front camera and fast charging technology.

The first feature that stood out for me is the integrated case/keyboard. Obviously not an afterthought, but probably designed right along with the tablet.
The keyboard, while compact, certainly seems to have all the features of most keyboards you'd be used too. Particularly the F keys which I'm used to using a lot. The touchpad also performs well.
One challenge was storage of the unique "S" pen. I haven't attached it's holder to the side of the case, just because I would not want it sticking out the side. A problem if sliding the case into a pocket, etc. I would have rather seen storage inside, so when you have the case closed nothing is sticking out.
Battery life seemed to be as advertised, which means it's great. Being able to add very ample storage with an inexpensive SD card is also great.
I also noticed right during the un-boxing (see my video), that the power supply is a nice, small size. Unlike so many tablets and laptops where the effort was made for the size and weight, until you look at the afterthought of the "brick" power supply.
Overall, Samsung is to be congratulated for a very nice tablet!

My initial thought on a Samsung tablet running Windows 10 as its OS, I was kind of intrigued with how it would function. As the owner of a Samsung 2014 10.1 tablet, I needed to get it and compare the 2.
One thing is for certain, the 10.6' is not a laptop replacement. Not because of the power, but its size. With that said, lets discuss what this thing IS designed to do.
It powers on quickly, in less than a minute.
Once running, opening of apps is rather smoothly. It does slow down and sticks when you attempt to load it with many apps. I truly believe this is not a hardware issue though, as I see it with other devices and this same OS.
The size of it is superb. The slight texture keeps it in your hand without slipping. The case with the keyboard will take some getting used to, it is a great addition. The 10.6 is boarder line of needing a keyboard as it is more of a tablet than a laptop, but the touch pad is so much better that constant swiping the screen.
Now to the famous S-Pen. it is the best tool that it could have. With this, the pen is much fatter than previous versions. I have tried using it on typical web browsing and other functions. it does not seem to handle the same as it does in an Android OS.
Overall the size and power of the Samsung Book 10.6 is good. It is more of a Phablet than a laptop, but it has a really good battery to keep it going for a while to watch your movies and play your games while traveling, but do not get rid of your work laptop just yet.

I received my Galaxy Book a few weeks ago and had a chance to play with it excessively. I've been wanting to upgrade both my tablet as well as my laptop. This is the perfect marriage of both world. I didn't want another Android base tablet. I wanted a tablet/laptop that can handle my daily work and play. I've always love the design of the Samsung product and this one did not disappoint me at all. I had a chance to connect my projector to the Galaxy Book and it was flawless. I paired it up with my Amazon Echo. It was better than I expected. My daughter who's 4 years old love the 3D paint software. She was playing with it for hours. So far the battery life seems to be able to handle at least 7 hours of non stop movie watching and internet browsing. I will have to test some more to see the full potential of this device. But as of right now, it's been nothing but wonderful for our family. Looking forward to playing with it some more.
So after playing with this Laptop/Tablet for about 3 weeks now. I noticed the battery life is ok. I get about 6-7 hours on normal use and about 4-5 hours when I play movies and games on it. So far the tablet seems to be Ok. I'm used to a physical home button on the tablet so for me not having one was a little getting use too. The stylus pen is pretty remarkable. The only thing I wasn't able to do with the stylus is to swipe up to scroll on the screen. I thought it would be like your finger when you swipe. So that aspect of the stylus I would like for it to change. I've enjoyed the flexibility and portability of being able to switch from tablet mode to laptop mode quickly. My daughter is used to a tablet and I like to convenient of having a keyboard to type. All in All this hybrid is an excellent device. I recently took it on a business trip and had to do a lot of note taking. People were pretty impress with the device. Easy to detached the device and use it as just a tablet or connect it and have it as a laptop. One other thing, the device boots up super quick. No need to wait minutes for the device to be ready to use. In less than 15 seconds, you are ready to play...
This device is the definition of "To Infinity and Beyond"

Not enough added features to give up my laptop

Overall, I was a little disappointed with this product.
My main reason for wanting this device was for working at night when I'm home and for business travel. I was looking for a product that seamlessly integrated the aspects of what you want in a computer and tablet. I am very tired of having to carry both around with me.
I enjoyed how easy the sign in process was, and that the device came loaded with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I was really surprised at how easy it was to work in PowerPoint and Excel on this device. I was concerned that everything would be too small and I would not be able to use the tools of excel easily, but the interface worked great and I was able to get all of my work completed. I also liked the device's ability to switch from computer to tablet mode so easily.
There were quite a few things I was disappointed with, however. One, there is an app store on the device, but when I went to download the apps that I use, none of them would download. They were all there and when I tried to click into the app page to download, nothing happened. I want to be able to have Netflix, and Facebook apps on the tablet so I don't have to constantly be using the browser. Two, I really loved the idea of the Samsung notes app, but when I went to use it I realized you could only write notes with the stylus and could not type. Additionally, the notes would not convert from written to typed. If I want to send out notes from a meeting I am certainly not going to send them with my handwriting. Finally, I was most disappointed with the wake-up feature when I opened the device. When I would open the keyboard I would have to press the on/off button to wake-up the device, and over half the time that resulted in me accidentally shutting the device off and losing some of the work I had done. That issue has never happened on my laptop.
I wish this device had more tablet features, like apps and writing conversion, so that I felt more compelled to give up my tablet.
However, if you are looking for a great on-the-go laptop for business, this is definitely your device.

I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6 64GB model, it is an excellent product, but not for my needs. I am a full-time IT consultant and have used the Galaxy Book on multiple occasions in place of my primary laptop. Performance is very good, including boot times. Unfortunately the drive space in the model I tested was too small and I was not able to install all of my usual tools on it. For someone who is looking for a very portable but powerful device, this is a good choice. The screen might be too small for prolonged use, but it is very clear and easy to read. This device is probably very well suited to a student, or someone who needs general office capabilities on the go.

After much excitement to receive the Samsung Galaxy Book, I thought this was a great 2 in 1 Computer. There are so many differences in that it is slimmer than a Tablet. It comes with this really nice attachable keyboard but does everything a computer does.
The Galaxy Book has been great to do work on the go. I use it to write for my blog, keep track of emails and some other special projects. I love that it is slim enough to fit into my purse.

The galaxy book is a great tool. It can be used in many ways for just about any purpose. My wife and I took it on our recent cruise so we could do our Doctoral assignments. It was great because it is so light and compact yet has plenty of computing ability to satisfy the needs of our needs. It was easy to pack and carry around and didn't need to be charged often either. We would recommend to our friends and plan to buy them for our children.

I really enjoyed trying the Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6 inch. It is very portable and simple to use. Starting up the device for the first time was very simple and quick. The touch screen is excellent and it's so nice to have the easily attached key board The Samsung Galaxy Book really makes a need for a big heavy laptop obsolete. I would however purchase the next size up screen wise as I simply prefer a larger screen and keyboard. I had no issues with the 64GB not being enough. That suited me just fine. I used the device for work and had no issues. My daughter really enjoyed using it for games and movies. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

We've had the Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6 for a few weeks. The Super AMOLED display is amazing, with vibrant colors. It can perform most light business tasks with ease. Battery life is very good. Ideal for students. Keyboard took a little time to get used to the key spacing. We didn't have much need to test the camera.
Pros:
-Compact, slim design
-Quiet, does not overheat
-S-pen is very precise and easy to use, well-integrated
Cons:
-Would be nice if S-pen could be inserted inside the Book, a holder needs to be stuck onto the case
-lack of USB 2.0/3.0 port is mild inconvenience
-Keyboard setup is a little flimsy if trying to use on your lap. Is fine if on desk or flat surface

This is my first 2-in-1 tablet so to speak and I have to say I'm impressed. I have a decent desktop already so I wasn't looking for this to replace it, instead I was looking for a good companion to it. In that regard it does really well. I've used it a lot in the short time I've had it. It's great for note taking and watching videos online.
PROS
- Lightweight and easy to carry around in a small bag.
- The pen that comes with it is very easy to use.
- Easily switches between tablet and keyboard mode.
- Great for watching movies just about anywhere.
- Connects easily with my Galaxy S8+ for notifications and easy unlocking.
- Ability to add SD cards to up your storage.
CONS
- I find with the keyboard attached it can be a little too difficult to open it at times. I also have a hard time telling which side to open.
- No USB ports on the device(you can get an adapter but it would have been nice to have one built into it.

I was so excited to get this computer to test! I'll have to say it doesn't disappoint. It would be even better with a bigger screen and more GB of memory but it is expandable with an SD Drive. I really like that you can carry it in the keyboard case and seems to protect it very well. It is also great that you can use it like a tablet also. I have only used the touchscreen and that works very well. I may try to hook up a mouse sometime to use it more like a regular laptop. I have watched TV shows from Netflix and they play very well with great sound. I have used the pen that it came with to use a coloring book app and it worked well. Not sure how much I would use the pen, though. It starts up and shuts down fairly quickly unlike some computers. It seems to run smoothly on the internet and with a number of other apps. I like how thin it is and easy to carry around. I have not taken it outside my home yet but it would be fun to travel with it. There are so many features that I have not even tried yet and am excited to try. The one drawback is the appstore does not have as many apps as I am used to having to choose from but maybe there will be more added in the future. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars and that is not because of the actual computer itself.
The battery life seems to be very good at this point. I hope it does not suck the battery life when it gets older like a lot of laptops do. The screen is very sharp and clear which is perfect for a tablet/laptop. It works well to connect with a bluetooth speaker that I own, so I assume it will be easy to connect to other devices. It is a sufficiently powerful tablet and laptop for most basic functions.

Overall I like this tablet for the price point. I'd give it 4.5 if they let me use half stars. I'm using it as a secondary computer, with my desktop as primary. Mostly I use it to edit office documents, check emails, and browse the web when I'm not in my office. And for that it's fine. The Core M processor and 4 gigs of RAM is zippy enough to handle all that (I wouldn't try gaming on it though beyond simple things like Candy Crush.) It's stuttered a few times, but usually because I've tried to pen too many things (several IE tabs, a word document, and due to a mistake on my part 2 instances of one note.)
I love that for the money it came with both the pen and the keyboard case. I would have liked a hinge instead of the folding magnet stand, but once you get used to the magnet stand it works pretty well. (Putting it in the low angle "draw" mode took me a second to figure out, but once I saw that you put the top part of the coverstand into the crease on the keyboard side it made sense. It's the least stable of the positions though. The upright typing positions are far more stable.)
It does run a bit warm if you push it. Mostly this is fine as the case (which stays on all the time for the most part) keeps the heat off your hands, but it is noticeable. (And doesn't take playing a heavy game to get warm. Watching video will do it.)
Thus far I haven't had a battery life problem. I've used it for several hours at a time. It would probably go most of the day with moderate use. It charges off USB C, so the normal cables I keep with my phone won't charge it. It did charge off the Samsung adaptive chargers that came with my S7 Edge, (and vice versa).

I received the Galaxy book to be pleasantly surprised it ran the full windows experience right out the box, It wasn't a gimped version of windows for tablets. It is also very surprising that the tablet didn't have issues with performance at for basic task and such. I've had issues with other and having bad performance but I saw no issues here.
The display is amazing as typically from Samsung. Everything is very vibrant and sharp. The Keyboard attachment is extremely useful. The keys are responsive, very clicky, although it's a bit compact and takes a bit getting use to works well.
The battery, on the other hand, could be improved, I expected more from it compared to other tablets I've used and owned.
The additional Samsung software worked pretty alright, sometimes it connected well with my S7, sometimes it took a bit to work it out.
Overall, If you're looking for a compact, Lightweight tablet without compromising on the full windows experience at a decent price, you might wanna look up this. It's good for light work, Web browsing and Video watching, nothing too hardcore performance wise.

Performance - Pleasantly surprised. I've had no issues whether it be browsing the internet or streaming TV shows/movies. I even did some limited gaming just to see and again no issues.
Connectivity – Seamlessly linked up to my home wifi like you would expect….then I began to play with connecting to my other laptop, my S8 and my TV. Pretty cool to be able to unlock a PC with the fingerprint scanner on my phone via the Samsung Flow app!
Screen Quality – Well it's a Samsung….so amazing picture as always!
Battery Life – I would say battery life is above normal. I use the battery saver setting that only lets it charge to 80% to extend the overall life of the battery, and even without that extra 20% I've had zero issues. I just plug it in once every few nights to top it off and otherwise don't really think about it. Definitely better than other laptops I've owned in the past.
Accessories – The keyboard/case that comes with the 10.6" isn't anything to write home about, but it works just fine. I just wish it was backlit like the larger model's version. The S pen is awesome though. I'm no artist but I can't help trying to draw something! I find myself surfing around the internet with it too even though my fingers would accomplish the same thing haha
In the end I definitely give this a thumbs up and would recommend it. It's not the perfect tablet or laptop, but it's a strong finisher in both categories. May be a little on the expensive side, but hey you're getting 2 for 1!

I'm quite impressed with the new Samsung Galaxy Book. I got the 10.6 inch model with 64 GB memory. It's compact, light and easily portable. I love using it as a tablet when I'm traveling. At the same time, it's very convenient when converted into a laptop. The screen attaches to a keyboard. The keyboard is a little flimsy though. I only use it when I have a desk nearby, not on my lap.
The battery life is satisfactory for my needs. Depending on what I'm doing it can last anywhere between 6 and 10 hours. It is usually sufficient to last through any flight. The screen and image quality are amazing! This is the best of the tablets I have yet seen.
S Pen could have been wonderful if it worked the way I needed it to. It doesn't always let me drag files with the speed I'm used to. I use my fingers more frequently than the S Pen.
Having the slot for the Micro SD card is wonderful, but no USB ports?
In conclusion, I would say that it's a big step-up from your regular tablet. It's a great substitute for a laptop if you travel a lot. However, it's not as functionable as a laptop.

Galaxy Book 1.6inch Review

Going in I did not expect much out of this tablet considering the lower powered Intel M3 CPU. That said, I was dead wrong on this one. The tablet has completed outperformed my expectations. I wanted this tablet primarily as an ultra portable system to lug around and use for school work while out and about. I also planned to utilize Steam's streaming feature to play some games away from my desk. Steam streaming works great even over WiFi and to my surprise is not even needed for everything as lower end games such as The Talos Principle and The Sims 4 actually run great. Obviously not at max settings, but certainly playable at low to medium settings. The stylus feels excellent to write with. I have been using it in oneNote with no problems. Screen is very crisp and bright, absolutely no complaints there. Battery life is phenomenal. Much lighter than expected, easy to carry around.
I only have two complaints, the kickstand and charging. I wish the tablet could be tilted just a little bit higher so that while I am using it in bed with a bedside laptop stand I can look at the screen dead on. Not a huge issue though as I can find something nearby to prop it up just a little higher. Also, with the USB C "breakout" dongle I have I was not able to use USB devices and get sufficient power to charge and use the tablet at the same time. This is likely an issue with my dongle or charger though, not the tablet.
Overall I absolutely love this tablet and certainly recommend it. Though if you need a little more power than the Intel M3 the larger version with the i5 is likely a better option for you.

I have been using a MS Surface Pro for the last few years. The battery was beginning to show its age, the back lit keyboard wasn't lighting up, and my hard drive was full so I decided it was time to upgrade. I started looking around and liked the looks of this tablet. Since I own a Samsung Galaxy S7, I thought Samsung Flow would be a neat feature to connect the two devices. I waited and watched and and contemplated, and when the pre-order ended and the tablet went live, I pulled the trigger.
So I get the tablet and it's nothing really to write home about. I do like that the keyboard and S-pen are included. One thing that really disappoints me, is the keyboard is not lit, or if it is, I haven't figured out how to turn the lights on. Speaking of keyboard lights, I discovered I had inadvertently turned off the lights on my Surface Pro keyboard....lights work fine. I haven't used the S-pen yet.
I'm using a MS mouse and I have noticed it connects to this tablet quicker than it did to my Surface Pro.
I'm still trying to figure out Samsung Flow. So far it hasn't been the "amazing" feature I was hoping for. You will also have to download Flow on your phone, and when you have it turned on, you have a persistent Flow icon on your screen (see pic). I just tried sending a screenshot from my phone to this tablet, and the transfer failed, multiple times.
There is no USB port. You have to purchase the USB-C multi-port adapter. I thought it was included for a limited time. Haha, the joke's on me, I guess it was included during the pre-order.
The volume keys are along the top edge, so you have to memorize pressing the button toward the middle decreases the sound and pressing toward the outside edge increases the sound. I use this tablet on the keyboard 100% of the time, so I have a slight learning cure with the volume rocker functionality.
So, will I keep it? Yeah probably. Just because of the battery life. Other than that, it functions almost just like my prior tablet. The keyboard not being lit is really a huge let down. If I figure out it can be lit, I'll adjust this review accordingly.
I'm not a professional reviewer. I'm just a regular guy. I bought this through Samsung Financing. I'm receiving no compensation for this review.

This product is very easy to use and complete package of equipment devices. And it's very important for a grade eleven student because of features of the product that is 2-in-1 product. But the price of the product is very expensive.
