The new Wear OS is integrated to work better with the Samsung Health app. Period. The Super AMOLED display is bright and colorful, which makes a "yuge" difference under a sunny afternoon.
Not to be on negative Nelly, the "extreme sport band" felt a little stiff on my wrist. Samsung's voice-based assistant, "Bixby" is useful, yet it has a long way to go compared to "Google Assistant." An automatic workout tracking is inconsistent & dubious. Being a power user, the battery lasts between 18 to 20-hours.
After wearing this smartwatch for 25 days, however, I disliked it more over time. Bottom line: Galaxy Watch 4 (Classic) is for anyone who wants a smartwatch to connect the Galaxy ecosystem that makes it easier and comfortable with various Galaxy devices.

Little difference from Watch 3

I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra phone and used the credit that came with it to purchase this as an upgrade from my Watch 3. It's only been a couple of days, but so far I'm not impressed. My main complaint is battery life so far. I charged this fully when I got it and by the next morning after taking my morning walk, the battery was down to about 30%, where the old watch would never get below 45% after wearing it all day the day before and taking the same length walk. Time will tell if it's just a matter of the watch learning to optimize battery life, but if this continues I will not be happy.
Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be any significant difference. Some of the apps look better, but for the most part they are about the same. I preferred the weather and calendar apps on the Watch 3 to what came with the 4. I do like the swipe up to access all apps rather than having an all app widget, but otherwise the changes are extremely minor.
Performance was never an issue on my last watch, so I don't notice any difference here. I don't really use it for much other than text notifications, call alerts, weather, calendar, and fitness features and their response doesn't seem any different to me. One big difference is how it integrates with the phone app. Many more features seem tied directly to the phone rather than being as useful on a standalone basis. So far that's an inconvenience. Overall, I'm questioning whether it was worth making this "upgrade."

I have purchased GWC4 from shop Samsung app. I have received the watch and I have fully charged the device before turning it on. The issues are bellow.
1. Bezel stops working suddenly and I needed to restart the watch multiple times in one day.
2. Extremely laggy software.
3. Wifi can not be found if 5GHz
4. Battery runs off after 8 hours.
Luckily all these happened in 3 days. I am using GWC3 and it is working great since it's release date. It also has Tizen OS. GWC3 gives me way longer battery life. I am truly disappointed by Samsung. It is my request, I love this brand, do not release products until it is ready.

I bought the new series 4 watch but the ecg feature won't work, Customer Service says its because my phone is the international version so it's not supported.

How this thing has a 4+ rating I have no clue. What makes the battery even worse is the exercise/heart rate monitor on the bottom of the watch that you can't turn off without shutting off every feature that comes on the watch. What a piece of cr*p.
I had all those features turned off so I could barely get a day with the battery then I got an update on the watch and it turned those features on so my battery went dead...20% to 0 in about an hour.
Don't get me wrong, I love Samsung but there has to be a way to turn that green flashing light off on the bottom of the watch that drains my battery. I had the Galaxy Watch before this and I wish I never gave it up. To call the '4' an upgrade is stretching it.

The watch seems great, got Classic s4 42mm. The battery will not last a day, especially if you actually use it. Doesn't help on powersave either or turning the brightness down. This is day 1. Put the watch on the charger at 39% at 8p, 530a only made it to 96%. My old watch took maybe 30 mins. I'm trading in as soon as something else is available. Also the charger is awkward! Shame on you all. Disappointed. Two stars because otherwise, the watch appears nice.

I have alway ownered the galaxy watches my first watch was the S2 and I have that for 5 years and loved it. But we I got the 4 it is crazy how much things have change and nicer they are.

Granted I have no experience with other watches to compare to, but I love this watch! So many features, so many apps available, so easy to use, so easy to see. I do wish the battery would last a full day, but I bought the small one so my bad. I'm excited to find new ways to integrate my new toy into my daily life.

I decided to purchase the Galaxy 4 watch classic because it had the Google operating system and I am so glad that I did. Using Google maps for example has been a fabulous addition and the watch definitely is faster than the previous iterations.

I bought the galaxy watch 4 and I absolutely LOVE it, upon loosing my phone ever 5 mins I can easily find my phone while also testing my stress for looking for my phone lol, the battery life is great phone calls never been easier. I was worried I wasn't going to like it but I love it so much its worth it

I've had my 42mm GW4C for a month now and I am happy with it. It does a good job of tracking workouts, fitness, body composition, listen to Spotify offline without phone, and allows me to view and respond to notifications. The bezel is satisfying to rotate. My three cons are: no blood pressure readings available in my region (USA), cannot view total calories burned directly on watch face, and battery life is only 26 hours with my settings.

I'm a Samsung Galaxy Watch fan and this is the first time I've sent one back and kept the Galaxy Watch3 I was going to trade in. The change to the Google OS meant being unable to use my Tizen watch faces and many of my apps wouldn't transfer and needed the time consuming process of setting up all over again. The breakdown of the sleep stats on the Samsung app were gone. That's something I look at daily and the Watch4 does include a snoring monitor but I don't have a use for that.,
The watch itself was almost identical to my Galaxy Watch3 in size. The display was on the Watch4 was a little brighter but the battery is much smaller 247mAh vs. 340mAh on the Watch3. Both watches have the rotating Bezel which is a great feature. Imo Galaxy Watch4 classic is a hard pass.

I upgraded from Galaxy Watch 3 and love the new features but the battery life it's worse. With the Watch 3 I had 2 days before I needed to charge it, with this one I have only 1 day but it's seems like it's getting worse with time passing. At the beginning it was 33 hours, now (after a few weeks) I have to charge it every day. Not happy about this.
