I bought this watch after some hesitation because I've bought 4 different Fitbit watches and had problems with each one! I'm so happy I bought this Samsung watch. I also own the earbuds and phone so they all work together great! Best purchase this year!! And everyone loves the emoji I have on it!

I bought this watch a couple weeks ago and it's been so helpful to me with keeping track of my health and keeping me active. Love that I can see my notifications from my phone and I don't have to pull out my phone to text or call. Best watch I've ever had and will be keeping this one for a while

I have had over a few weeks now and LOVE the improvements over my last galaxy watch. I had issues with texts and speaker with last one, but this new watch I have had no problems at all!

Last time I had the Active2 and this time I bought the Classic. The feel of the bezel is very good and it is so much more luxurious.
Various UIs operate more smoothly and the use of emojis is good, so it has a pretty watch face.
It is also possible to look like a different watch by changing different watch bands and covers, so there is always a new watch with a different version from the original.
It's very fun and has many good features. Recording snoring is the funniest part.
Various health checks are a very good part to give as a gift to the elderly.

The best Galaxy watch yet

I have had this watch for about a month now. The best feature for me by far is the fact that the watch now works with the Wear OS vs the Samsung Tizen operating system. It opens your world to a bunch of apps that weren't available on the Galaxy store. The watch itself is similar in looks with a few differences. The battery life is slightly better than the Galaxy 3 and it appears to charge a little faster than my Galaxy 3. I like the newer features such as BMI measurement and EKG. The sleep monitoring features are enhanced as well. Overall, I am pleased with my upgrade purchase and would definitely recommend buying this watch.

The only downside is that is not fully compatible with Android if you do not own a samsung phone. You lose ECG functionality and it is not compatible with Google assistant even though it runs wear os.
With regards to price, it is a bit expensive considering that it is almost the same as a gear 3. Tough it has more exercise tracking options, swimming compatible and body measurement.
Good to upgrade is you are a couple of generations behind.

Bought it when it was launched in August, I upgraded from Samsung Active2 and compare to the previous watch, I like the App interface better on Watch4. There are noticeable improvements on fitness apps, new body composition app is my favorite.

My old watch wasn't holding a charge well so I got this one and it's awesome. One full charge and the watch lasts for about 2 day full days. It has a bunch of apps on it and connects to my phone. I can make calls from the watch which has a speaker so I can just leave my phone in my bag or pocket. Looks good, very stylish. Overall it's a really great watch.

The watch is great to track fitness and consume media, without having to use the phone. Unfortunately, for a podcast lover like me, I don't subscribe to the only service that will permit you to download podcasts to the watch, allowing you to leave the phone home endnotes going out for a walk or run. The software needs to catch up to the hardware.

I bought a refurbished Gear S2 over 5 years ago, and have loved it throughout. I actually initially purchased a Watch 3 early in summer - then heard about the OS switch, and decided to return it and wait for the Watch 4.
I'm glad I did. Its definitely a huge improvement on my Gear S2, and my sense is the Play store will be a richer source over time of new content. Some specifics:
- Case, which I realize I paid a premium for, is really nice, and comparable to my mechanical watches. I was very accustomed to the bezel on the S2, and am happy to have it on this case.
- Performance - its very responsive to gestures and touches
- Sensors - its great to have the latest and greatest biometric sensors. Sleep tracking, ECG, blood oxygen, BMR all seem to work well. Hoping they get approval on the blood pressure sensor just because I know its there.
- Integration with my phone - the new OS has a more seamless integration with apps on my phone (Galaxy S10+), which is nice
- Band - having tried the Watch 3 briefly, I was surprised that the Watch 4 ships with the ubiquitous white sports band, and that if you order a different band, it will arrive separately. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of if you are replacing the band.
Regarding the switch to Wear OS - I'm still getting used to the slight change in the button behavior from the Gear S2, and how the apps are organized. Its good, just noting that as a long time Gear user, it does take a bit of getting used to.
- Watch faces - Should have been obvious, I guess, but they haven't ported the Tizen watch faces or store. Because I spent a few days with a Watch 3, I was expecting to have the Watch 4 also bring over all my 3rd party watch faces. It of course doesn't. After a few weeks in the Play store, I've signed up with Facer, which has a really good and broad selection of faces. The built in ones are good, but I'm a fan of analog style faces with lots of complications, and the 3rd parties do that well.
Overall very happy with the new watch, and just hope it lasts as long as my Gear s2!

I bought this when it came out and have really enjoyed using the fitness tracking, sleep tracking, and other features of the watch. It is fast, responsive, stylish and sleek. You can wear it on a date or in a triathlon. Because it's Samsung's first time partnering with Google, though, it seems the Google Apps are relatively sparse. The Google maps connectivity is great, but it would be nice if Google Assistant were available, which is supposedly in the works.
