I've had this watch for a number of months and it has performed as expected. I get 2 days of battery life. Once when the battery was running down far too quickly, I did some research and went back to the 2 days I'm used to. I suggest that owners of this watch find and watch that video. Clearing the watch cache is supposed to solve a variety of issues
that crop up with Samsung smart watches. Samsung would do well to add an app that
automates this maintenance process.

The short version is as the title says, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I've had my Galaxy 4 for a few weeks now and I'm a little underwhelmed. If you want something that you can glance at to see the time and date or weather and health information then this thing is solid. But if you want something to see your messages and phone calls or any other app that interacts directly with your phone then I'd recommend looking at other products. I've tried various settings in various locations on both the watch and phone (Galaxy Flip) and the chances are 50/50 whether the watch is going to show a notification or not. On top of that the watch comes default set to NOT show most notifications, you have to go in manually to turn them on yourself and this seems rather backwards to me.
The last thing that bothers me is I keep getting an audio notification from the Kindle app on my phone only I don't use the app and never had opened it before. I had to uninstall the app just to keep the notification from popping up.
I will give credit where due though, I personally have had no issues with the battery like some have reported. I'm able to go two full days before I need to charge and there's still 20-30% battery left when I put it on the charger. Maybe this is due in part to the watch not giving me my notifications half the time so it doesn't use up the battery but it at least makes me feel like it's solid.
I like the parts that work and I like the look of the watch but I wouldn't recommend it as is.

Bought the watch hoping to get a trade in credit. Did the factory reset and sent it in. Didn't get denied the credit until after my promotion period ended and now I am stuck paying full price for the watch. Battery life is abysmal and customer support is unhelpful. I've been a loyal samsung customer for the past decade and just cannot support this company anymore. Apple is far superior in customer service and I will be switching once my contract is done.

I traded in my Galaxy Watch toward this Galaxy Watch 4. Big mistake. You would expect the 4 being this many years newer, that it would be an upgrade. So untrue! My Galaxy watch would easily go 4 days with everything turned on. GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, whatever. It would easily charge each morning just with the short amount of time in the shower. This watch will not last through the day. I cannot ever have GPS on or Wifi. With just bluetooth it takes forever to charge. I can't sleep with it on and track sleeping because it has to be on the charger all night just like your phone. What a disappointment. All these new features, EKQ, body comp, etc. None of them work. Available faces are basic and a joke compared to what we used to have. It gets worse, it gets much worse. One of the features I needed with my Galaxy watch was the hands free speaker phone to answer your phone without having to pull it out. The speaker on the original Galaxy Watch was barely loud enough. You would have to hold it closer to your ear to hear but worked. I assumed, and I did so incorrectly, that this would be remedied and improved on the new watch. What a total disappointment and complete let down. This watch does not have anything that you could call a speaker phone. Turned all the way up you have to hold it clear up to your head and even then you cannont make out what anybody is saying. The volume is probably 20% of the not so great Galaxy watch making this version a complete disaster. This watch is trash. Do not waste your money on it. You will only be disappointed like I am. I own multiple Samsung TVs, All of the phones in our family are all Samsung. I should have realized their quality was slipping when last Christmas I got a set of Galaxy buds live. They lasted one charge and there is zero way to get them warrantied or replaced. This watch isn't much better. The battery life is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of speakerphone is also unacceptable. Non functioning "new functions" is unacceptable. The sad part is there is probably zero chance they can fix these problems. I just wasted an insane amount of money on a poorly designed and executed boat anchor. Do yourself a favor and skip this watch. What a sheer disapointment.

First if you are having problems with battery life, this only occurs when connected to the Samsung account. There are probably setting to make them commutate less if you want to hunt. I had the same problem, once I decided to check added benefits from connecting the . But did not see the huge importance of keeping Samsung and my watch 4 connected. Being connected drained the battery in 6 hours with a one hour log tracing session from Strava.
Now the watch is great! A huge advancement since the active... the bio tracking is soooooo much better than it used to be.
I would love to see a bio tracking feature that monitors oxygen the entire time of an activity. The sleep O2 tracking is supreme.
Pros still stylish, more useful features, better design with the fitment, and when Samsung is not connected I can go a solid 2 day without charge still with 16% to go.
Cons Samsung connection drains battery FAST, Would like the watch bands not to be 40+ dollars, O2 tracking continuality while working out.

This is my first upgraded watch since the very first galaxy watch. I'm glad I waited cause this watch is beyond amazing. I thought it was really cool that it measures body composition. The recording of activity is very accurate.

I have had this watch for about a month now and I love it. Coming from watch 3 frontier to this was a great change. Love the new light weight, love the battery life of the watch I can wear it all day without any problem.

The new Galaxy watch does a lot that the old Galaxy watch needed. Mainly, a seamless connection with your phone. Any app that you download, it searches for the equivalent for the watch. And then theres a convenient app drawer! There are still some annoyances of course, the watch faces are still sub par with little to no customizations. And why...WHY DID SAMSUNG SWAP THE HOME AND BACK BUTTONS??? I built muscle memory for 3 years, and now it's just opposite. I fail to see a good reason not to allow the user to switch it in software, but I guess Samsung is taking a page out of Apples book and locking down their products because "they know best." You are so close Samsung, I love your watch, I love your phone, but there are some decisions you make that leave me questioning.

This past June, I purchased a Galaxy Watch 3, I absolutely loved it! It had so many great features, it looked awesome, and it worked perfectly. Seeing the Watch 4, I decicded to upgrade. I was so glad that I did, everything that seemed perfect on the Watch 3 was perfected even more on the Watch 4!! I would totally recommend this product to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a smartwatch for either an Android or an Apple smartphone user.
