i have had this watch not even 2 weeks and it has been a terrible experience. my other samsung watch active the first model worked so much better. this one reboots all the time. the battery sucks. it was a waste of my money. i might as well just use my old one and deal with not having a speaker or a new version. it sucks that i am having this experience when i was so confident that the previous reviews were wrong.. sad to say they were all right. dont waste your money on this watch. get the active 3

so i have had my watch for a year and i am soooooooo disappointed. i figured with it being a samsung it would be far superior to fitbit, but it is not. the sleep tracking function is terrible, it has always said that i have none or very little deep sleep, which i thought was just me, but then i went to forums and found that everyone has this problem, i figured they would put out a firmware update to fix, but after a year they still have not. i have contacted multiple times and tried to find a fix and it never works. my watch continually disconnects from my phone when they are right next to each other and sometimes it won't even start alerting to a call until they hang up. the waterproof feature is nice

I bought this watch 6 months ago- and for the first 6 months, I loved it. It tracked my runs well, monitored my steps & my sleep, etc. However, recently it starting saying 'rebooting' on the screen constantly and I sent it in for repair and was told due to water damage, my warranty was null and would have to pay $220 to repair the watch (This is basically the same cost as just buying a new watch!). This watch is marketed as being water proof up to 50m, and there is even an excercise setting to TRACK SWIMMING. It is totally unacceptable to try to market a product like this, and then have it break after barely getting wet. And then to have it not covered by warranty when your product that you told me could get wet up to 50m, got a little wet. So unacceptable. I'm so unhappy with Samsung, and will not be buying another Samsung watch.

my battery in the device conveniently died a few months after the warranty expired. for a $400 product you'd think they'd have a minimum of a 2 year year warranty. i spent 25 minutes waiting for customer support all for them to tell me that it'd likely be an additional $117 to get a new battery put in it. i originally got samsung instead of apple because my apple devices were dying or running slow after 2 or 2.5 years. i thought samsung would be better. definitely planning to skip the repair. don't waste your money.

the battery is atrocious. it was charged fully to 100 percent at 7 am. i didn't use it for the whole day. within the first 5 minutes of changing settings to try and use less battery it had already dropped down to 93 percent. thats with no vibration, no wifi, no bluetooth, brightness down to as low as possible, no running apps at all, nothing at all that would drain the power. later on at midnight i get the notification that the watch disconnected from my phone. i look and see its at 5 percent after a day of no use and no apps running and no extra features at all.

Back panel fell off within 9 months

i really love the watch, the look, the functionality, battery life...however, the one thing that samsung can't seem to figure out is how to keep the back panel from falling off of their watches. this is the 3rd maybe 4th samsung watch i've had and with every one i've either had to send it for repair, or buy a new watch because the adhesive on the back panel wears of and next thing i know the whole thing is disconnected. it's a pain to say the least. wish they could figure this out because i love it otherwise.

watch clams it is water resistant but because of poor build quality water got through the glass backing of my watch. i shipped the watch to be fixed and now samsung said it was my fault for letting water get into the watch and voided my warranty. my samsung watch is less than a year old!

this watch is not water resistant. samsung will advertise as resistant to 5 atm of pressure but will negate the warranty due to liquid damage. it will take you hours dealing with customer services and they will still try to bill you at least $220 to repair it. i'm extremely disappointed in samsung.

first off, i like the watch, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't hold a charge very long. the lte for sure drains the battery, so what is the purpose? and if you can't use all the features of the watch, because it drains the battery, what good are all the features. i'm really disappointed in the active 2. maybe there is a way you could enhance the life of the battery? i don't know, but it sucks. and another thing, the sleep monitor is way off. i know it's not 100% accurate, but a little close would be better than nothing. anyway, this is only my opinion. before this watch, i had the active sport, which was better on the battery, but was a little large for me.

Disappointed with the LTE model

It's been less than a month that I've been using my watch and I'm already having issues with activating service through Verizon. I'm starting to regret getting the LTE version and paying the additional money. I thought it would be worth the investment, but it seems that it probably would have been safe to just purchase the bluetooth model since that is basically what I have to work with.

My first smart watch, so far so good

I've had the watch now for 2 months & I feel like I've had enough experience with it to write a review. What I like about it: 1 - It's really nice looking. I love the aluminum finish & the leather band. It's got a few light scratches & scuffs after two months, but so far it's held up well. It looks really good on and the 40mm screen doesn't look too massive on my wrist. It's also very easy to switch out watch bands. 2 - It integrates seamlessly with my phone (Galaxy S8). I'm a fan of the Galaxy Wear app - really helps make setting up & controlling features on the watch easy. 3 - Setting up the LTE with T-Mobile was very easy and the service works great. I've never have any problems with making/receiving calls & text messages when using the device in standalone or Bluetooth. 4 - I really like the 'health' features on the app. I like the activity reminders very much, and the pedometer appears to be accurate as well as heart rate monitoring. Sleep tracking appears decently accurate. 5 - Battery life (on bluetooth) is excellent. I can get at least two days from an overnight charge if the watch stays connected to my phone. That brings me to things I don't like about the watch... 1 - BATTERY LIFE ON LTE IS TERRIBLE. A fully charged watch drains to 0% in about 3 hours. I wanted to be able to use it in place of my phone at times, but the battery life makes it near impossible. And after paying so much more for the LTE version vs the bluetooth one, I'd hope to actually be able to use it. I really hope Samsung will do something to improve this in the very near future. This is my main complaint about the watch. 2 - The app selection leaves a lot to be desired. Especially for music apps. Only options are Spotify app which requires you to upgrade to premium to use in standalone mode (already deleted it - useless), or upload music files manually to the watch. Why not make other services available like Google Play music? If they made more music streaming services available, this watch would be amazing. 3 - This is a personal preference thing, but I wish some of the watch faces that come loaded on the watch were more customizable. The watch faces available in the marketplace are ok, but I haven't really been able to find ones that I like & that have the functionality I'm looking for. I hope Samsung will add more stock watch faces in the future. Overall I really like the watch and have bought two more for my parents for Christmas. It's great looking & I really like some of the feature, especially the health related ones. If Samsung would fix the battery life on LTE issue & add more music streaming service capabilities, it would be perfect 5-stars.
