Originally, I liked the watch. It had its limitations but that was known before the purchase. Then, it started to heat up within 10 minutes of being on a call, the time to heat up kept on shrinking until it reached 1 minute. I sent it for repairs under warranty. Got it back, but the problem was still there right out of the box. I sent back in, got it back with the problem still there right out of the box. Today I am sending it in for the 4th time. Total waste of time and very disturbing since this watch is my only personal cell phone and been out for over a month. The technician seems to spend less than 5 minutes before changing something or updating something, but does not even test it by calling somebody, anybody, to see if the problem is still there. Very annoying and time wasting.

The Gears S2 classic is everything I wanted in a watch in terms of looks, performance, ease of use but the lack of apps available renders it an ordinary experience at best. If you do not have a Samsung phone the selection is severely limited. No Uber, Maps, Google Now, Lyft, Nest. Some crossover with either the Samsung experience or Google Play store or both would make this watch one of the best available. As it is it is rather expensive considering the mediocre experience.

I decided to get this smart watch when I switched to a Galaxy S7 Active and it has not let me down. I like how it is voice activated and recognizes my words very well. I wish there were a few more features on it that I would actually use. I have however gotten a kick out of the pedometer and the heart rate monitor. Overall it is a very good product but just needs a few other features.

I purchased this watch after checking many many reviews of all the major competitive smartwatches on the market. I came to the conclusion that the Samsung Gear S2 Classic was the the one for me. After purchasing it, I find that it operates flawlessly. Better than I expected based on the reviews which were mostly positive. It has many features, i.e. Heart rate monitor, Step tracker, Sleep monitor and S Voice. The ability to change watch faces at moments notice is an awesome feature. With the 4G feature on mine, I can leave my phone at home when i'm short on pockets, and still never miss a call or text or email. It's extremely comfortable to wear all day long. The rotating bezel works very smooth and is a great way to navigate without having to touching the screen. Speaking of the screen, trust me, there is no better screen anywhere.The Gear S2 works seamlessly with my Galaxy S6 Edge. I downloaded the Gear app and it did the rest. I can't believe how fast the watch charges, usually less than two hours. Charging the Gear S2 can not be any simpler - just drop it on the magnetic charger, that's it - you're good to go. And the charge lasts at least 36 hours. I have always worn watches, (Longines, Gruens, Whittnuars, more) and this is the best I've ever owned. Thank you Samsung for such a quality product.

I've had every watch Samsung has introduced and enjoyed them all. Every new model has been an improvement and this is no exception. I have used this for more than a month and have found nothing that I am not happy about. The best feature is the design, which has taken some getting used to in the past. This model final looks like a regular watch but has all the great features I've come to expect from Samsung.

I really love this watch, it is very accurate and easy to use. Where I use to work, my battery life seemed to be very short 8 hours. Not happy with that, but since I don't work in that building anymore, my battery lasts 12 + hours.

I love having the capability of taking calls or making calls without my phone. I love the way I can count my steps and other activities that I engage in through out the day. It is great looking well worth the cost! I love the round bezel face. Makes it so easy to get to your apps. I had a Samsung Gear Fit before. it was great but this surpasses by far more! It works great with my Samsung S 7 edge phone. I just cannot say enough great things about this watch!!! You will love it from day one that you start wearing it!!

The watch functionality are just ok. The battery sucks. Cant have it live more than 5 hrs . With GPS and bluetooth its just 3 hrs. Last update added flawed to the software and remote connection was lost . Had to reset and lost my data .No major softwares or apps that entice me. The classic leather strap is of bad design and quality. In 4 months i have worn out the strap. I will not recomend this watch to anyone . Please avoid.

This is a great product that has all types of productivity apps built into it. It's versatility is unmatched in design and functionality. The heart rate sensor, the pedometer, the widgets and the dial are my favorite part of this smart watch. However, I would like to see a deeper integration of "ok google or "hi galaxy" into the tasks and access to those things. The speech recognition can be made better especially in loud environments. One more thing, as a swimmer, I would like to see a future of waterproofing up to 50meters without a 30min time limit.

This should have been the regular S2 and they could have left the plastic proprietary Samsung band version out of it. The leather band is infinitely more comfortable and doesnt cause your wrist to sweat like the plasitc band.

Since Samsung announced their first Smartwatch I have been anxious to get one, I waited patiently till they came out with one that fulfills my needs and they nailed with the Gear S2 Classic. This Smartwatch not just looks great it performs better than expected, to start its a phone, it has its own dedicated number so if i leave my phone at home I still have one in my wrist. You can Sync it to your Samsung phone and you'll get a bunch of apps that will work with the watch. From notifications to text messages, check scores of your favorite teams, read news, answer your calls, save pictures even music into it, it has 4gb of internal memory. You can upload your favorite songs to it, connect your Bluetooth head set and hit the gym and leave the phone behind. You have everything you need in your wrist. Although it is a great waych I do miss the syncing ability between my fitbit app my calorie counter app and the withings app. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and switch over to the samsung health app entirely but I have seen such good results thst I'm sfraid to switch. My S2 classic is paired with my Nexus 6, and honestly it been the best combo of tech I have ever had! From the changing of the faces simplicity to the the face dial to flip between apps. I wake up in the morning slap on the watch and through my phone in my pocket off to the day I go. Features would be 5 star if more Apps where available through standard Google store.

l got the watch with my new S7 upgrade. Its beautiful. I'm still trying to learn everything it can do and what I don't want it to do for me. I like the phone, very Dick Tracy. The step counter and workout timer are great I wish it was waterproof so I wouldn't have to worry when I go kayaking or to the beach.

I have been using this watch for a few days now and it it is the perfect companion for the Galaxy 7s. the thumb dial places all the apps and notifications right in front of you. The alternative methods of receiving information, whether by swiping or pressing a button, make the watch easier to use. It was gift but I would happily buy it. I may end up buying the 3G version for the times where I forget my phone at home.

I was really skeptical about getting a smartwatch, but with all the features that this watch has and all the things that you can do with it, I would highly recommend it. You can monitor your health, turn on/off smart appliances/devices in your home, you can also navigate using the gear navigator app when you are walking, and also get quick news updates (CNN/Bloomberg/Flipboard etc.). You can make phone calls and send/receive text messages without picking up your phone.. The best thing about this smart watch is that its very elegant and looks great on the wrist. It is both functional and designed beautifully!

I have the LTE version with AT&T numberSynch and it works great. It is really nice to able to leave your phone behind and still be connected, getting and making calls. I have other Smartwatches and this design is great, easier and more intuitive than most. The serious limitation is the number of applications available for their proprietary OS. I am a frequent traveller and cannot even get a generic application such as Tripit. Samsung needs to figure out how to bring more apps to their platform.
