Horrible Battery Life

I love all of the features this has and the fact that it works well with my Samsung Phone. However, I forgot how bad Samsung does with battery technology. I can barely get one day on the battery and that's with no notiifcations turned, and just using the basic function of the tracker. I have two competitive trackers and these will last 4 sometimes 5 days before needing a charge.

I was so excited because I loved the features but after wearing in the SHOWER the unit started blinking...I filed a warranty claim and sent in, they said they could fix it for 80.00 and it was not covered under the warranty because there was liquid damage...from the shower....and unless I took a shower in a submarine I am 100% confident that I didn't breach the 5 ATM limit. There is absolutely a design flaw if your "water resistant" watch leaks from shower water (not a bath, let me specify). Based upon the rest of the reviews it appears that they know there is an issue and choose to hide behind the water resistant caveat. if you are looking to buy this watch and use it in the water AS ADVERTISED, know that the warranty is VOIDED if the watch is breached by any moisture caused by their ill designed seal.

Hoped for better

I bought this product a little over a year ago and was initially very happy with it. Three weeks ago, it stopped working (coincidentally, exactly 2 months after the warranty expired). I chatted with Samsung customer service who helped walk me through resetting it, which was nice, but did nothing to fix the problem. Rather than send the watch back for repairs, I've decided to buy a different product instead. Basically all mine does now is tell time and act as bluetooth for my phone so I don't have to enter my password every time I get a message. Two of my friends also bought the same watch at the same time. One friend's is completely dead, and the other friend's is still going strong. Electronics ... whatcha gonna do?

I've had it since feb'18 and so far it's ok - it does everything I expected it to. Some considerations, though: 1. Heart rate is often off - at my age (43), my heart simply can't last beating at 200bpm for 20, 30 minutes 2. Sometimes, while tracking a run, pace or speed just drops to zero and then goes back to normal! (no, it didn't happen because I stopped) 3. Sometimes, it freezes and you either have to wait a long time before it comes back or wait a long time before you can switch it off and restart 4. The battery DOES NOT last days - depending on the use (nothing exceptional), I've had to charge twice in a day. Very rarely it lasts more than 24h. Typically, I put it on at 7, 8am and place it on the charger at midnight,1am, before going to sleep, with around 20% of battery remaining. Maybe (just maybe) when I first started wearing it the battery lasted 2 days, at the most. 4,5 days? Never!

Horrible smart watch

This watch claims water resistance and even tracks swimming, but can not be worn in water. It cant even be used to work out in because sweat will break it. I have had mine repaired 3 times in the first 8 months and there continues to be issues. The screen will go blank, or it wont charge, or there will be no display at all. Samsung really fell short on this watch.

Mainly I purchased it to monitor my physical activity indoor and outdoor and stream some music without caring my phone around. Does a nice job when is working. Smartly build and nice software interaction BUT: After 6 months of intensively using it started to be buggy and send it for repairs under warranty. Warranty was declined due to corrosion caused by moisture, so $300 went down the drain. The only moisture exposure was my sweat and the rinsing with fresh water when I cleaned it, but it never stayed in a excessive wet or water submerged environment! BOTTOM LINE IS NOT STANDING TO ITS CLAIMS!!! 50m under water and 5 ATM of pressure!!! Completely disappointed I purchased a TicWatch Pro and I'm using it in the same conditions as the Samsung. After 8 months of usage I recommended this watch. The software is not at par with the Samsung but I'll take the robustness over the functionality. It was also cheaper than the Samsung, if you have the patience to look for deals.

a little disappointed

I brought it as a gift for my sister and she's had it less than a years, in that time it has been repair twice and it still has small kink that she is willing to deal with like battery doesn't even last a full day. We both love Samsung products, but sadly this is the first time we are not happy. maybe it was just bad luck on our part. Samsung has been great at addressing the problem. Customer service has been excellent about getting the issues resolved. i just think the product needs improvement.

Well documented Issues

I have had this Gear Fit2 Pro for slightly over a year. I noticed the steps stopped tracking and the wake-sensor stopped working. When I tried to search for a solution I discovered hundreds of people complaining about the same thing with little to no help from Samsung. I am a few months out of Warranty period so it seems I am out of luck. The sad part is I can see the exact day it *died* because it stopped tracking steps and heart rate on the same day - Feb 11. =( I am so disappointed in Samsung. Looks like the rating on this watch is starting to speak for itself.

Great product, wish battery life was longer

My husband and I both got trackers for early Valentine's gifts. He got a fit bit and I got samsung...i did not like the fit bit band. Samsung has the same band, i am hoping it lasts better. I am a bit disappointed in the battery life, I work a lot o f 16 hour shifts as a nurse and many times I have to stop and charge it. Other than that I love the appearance and available apps. (I only use phone and diet tracker to help battery last)

DEFECTED HEARTBEATING

I have bought this watch in March, unfortunely in August this watch haven't been working well, the sensor has begun not to record the heartbeat. I had already maken all the procedures that I received from samsung support. I hope that product will be changed for a new one or my money back.

It waste of money and time, I have had this watch for about 8 month, it stopped working about a month ago(one month of communication for repair) so I sent it for repair, I received a call saying that there was liquid damage even its under warranty and water resistance they were not able to fix it and it has being sent back, After I called them for explanation they said will get back to you in 5 days NEVER DID I called back again after 7 days the same thing happen, I never even went swimming with this watch or really got it wet besides sweat, I will never by Samsung product anymore, DON'T RECOMMEND BEWARE!

I bought this because I really didn't like my fit bit. I now understand more of the functions and still have more to figure out. But as far as synchronizing with my phone to my health app, they will never sync perfectly. I have more to learn, but great product.

I have had this watch for about 8 month, I have had to return it for repair 4 times. each time it just stops working. on this 4th repair they sent it back and claimed it had water damage, I do not wear this watch when I swim so I don't see how that can be. they clearly just don't want to fix it. the watch is not water resistant if sweat can kill it.

Nice but clasp causes sores

The gear fit 2 Pro (small) is a nice device but the clasp causes the band to pinch my arm and over time I get a sore in that location. I want to return the device but the website is terrible.

Nice piece of hardware but the app is terrible. I've tried the app on apple and android and it sucks on both. I still wear the watch all the time, it's just not particularly useful for tracking fitness.

Bought this after buying the FitBit for my GF, and saying that I wasn't really interested in a product like this....but then I found out it plays Spotify, and I could leave my phone in the car at the gym. Also, I found my traditional watches looking a bit too dated for day to day use, and this does the trick. Good experience so far, health tracking seems to need to some work, but frankly, I don't know how you can account for "false" steps anyway. I had one experience where it disconnected from spotify, and had to restart it to get it going again. Other than that, solid device.

I have two Samsung TVs and a Galaxy S8 phone and love them. This watch -- I wonder if it's made by the same company because it is inferior. I've only had it three months and it's already failing. I bought it primarily as a running watch, but it's awkward to use and hard to read while running. And although they claim it be water resistant to 50 meters, mine has freaked out from some sweat and rain. It clearly doesn't have the durability to be used by athletes. And besides, the battery in inadequate. A few days ago it started shutting off at random by itself (although it's sufficiently charged) and now the touch screen has stopped working (which just about makes it useless).

Great Product

I had a Fitbit Alta for 2 years, which I really liked, but I wanted the features that this one offers. I really like the features of the watch and the size and brightness of the screen. My only complaint is the battery life. I wore my Fitbit 24/7 and charged it once a week. I have to charge this one at least every 2 days, sometimes it doesn't even make it 2 days. I had to buy an extra charger to leave at work so I can charge it when it gets too low.

doesn't work on stairs and band broke

I purchased my gear in June of last year. The stair count never really worked well. In fact one day I climbed 54 sets of stairs in 6 hours without leaving my car. I was traveling to another state and it was counting the elevation. Yet I could go up and down my basement stairs 10 times and not one would count. Then a couple weeks ago the band broke. it would not stay on so I glued it, that lasted about a week. Overall, the Gear lasted 9 months. Thankfully I purchase the warranty through Walmart and will be getting my money back, don't think I will purchase another one again. The stairs issue I can handle but the band breaking I cannot.

A Not So Smart Watch

The first one my husband purchased lasted two months so we returned it for another one. I've now had the second one for two days and the battery isn't lasting very long. I charged it and it was at 100% at 10 a.m. this morning and it went down as I was about to exercise this evening at 8 p.m. Seriously? I'm now charging it again this time from the USB port on our computer hoping that what one reviewer said was correct -- that you have to charge it from a USB port from your computer -- doesn't make sense because it doesn't says that any where but I'm hoping that reviewer knew something I don't know!!! I wasn't even using it other than to tell time today so not sure if I just purchased another lemon. I'm hoping it lasts a full year but at this rate, I doubt it and so far very disappointed ! Would not recommend this smart watch until Samsung really makes a smart watch where the battery will last longer than 12 hours or the screen doesn't go gray after only only a month.

Dead on Arrival!!!

I JUST received this watch new in the box on March 28th. I attempted to charge it in the cradle overnight and I still cannot turn it on. I found out from some forums that the initial charge should be via a USB port on a computer. There is NOTHING in the user guides from Samsung indicating this. I will try it later today, but to receive something that I cannot use even after charging it in the provided for charging cradle is ridiculous. You would think after the Note 7 fiasco that Samsung would make quality priority 1.

It doesn't hold an almost 3 day charge, you have to have to charge it every night. Depending on the feature you use sometimes twice a day. Very disappointed with that, all in all its good.

I'm in love

I've had my fair share of fitness bands and I know what I like and dislike in them. I was perfectly happy with my last band until I got my Samsung Gear Fit Pro 2. I bought it mostly for the music aspect but discovered so much more. The weather, the apps and the fact that I no longer have to brings multiple electronics on every run has made me a true fan of this product. The health app is amazing and syncs all my exercise automatically. The band's are easily changed and not very expensive so I have tons. I cherry picked the apps on my phone I want to be notified about so I never miss anything anymore. If you can't use your phone at work, no problem this band keeps you in the know anyway. I love love love it.

I received this watch for Christmas and by the middle of January it was already acting up. The screen would not light up and it would not count any steps. I sent it in to get it repaired and Samsung said they could not repair it because it had "water damage." According to the watch's details it is water resistant up to 50 meters. The only time my watch ever touched water was in the shower or washing my hands. I am very upset that Samsung would not fix my watch when they say to send it in if you have problems. I DO NOT recommend this watch, I had it for less than a month and it was already broken! Huge waste of money!

Let the buyer beware

I have had my Gear Fit 2 pro for less than a week. I have very disappointed. Initially the watch would not hold on to my bluetooth connection. It was only after a couple of chat calls that the agent had me do a factory reset. That seems to have solved the connection problem. My main issue, however, is that you advertising about pairing with Under Armour seems to be false. This pairing seems to apply only to Android phones and not to Its phones. I have made several contacts with customer service. No one has ever said that the relationship between Samsung and Under Armour only works for Android. I would not have purchased the watch if I knew that my phone would not integrate with the Under Armour apps.

i ordered the watch for a resolution to lose weight, i track my steps and go the gym. i still haven't figured out the right adjustments for tracking treadmill and the my fitness pal dosent always sync my steps but the watch does what it needs to do. over all its an attractive watch dosent feel to bulky because i am petite. the battery life could be better from the time i wake up to the time i lay down the battery is around 75 percent so it lasts about two - three days. i like how easy it is to use with the samsung s 8.

Excellent Products with a few quirks ...

The Gear Fit Pro is a beautifully designed smart band. It has most of the features one would expect in a workout band, but obviously lacks in some areas, like a reminder function ... if you added a calendar, it should have a few more functions than just being able to view it's entries! Also, some more storage space would be nice also! Plus the sensors at times can act wonky and batty, more accurate readings would make this smart band a true gem! Otherwise, this band is worth every penny spent! I highly recommend it!

Fourth watxh

This is my fourth time purchasing a gear. Usually when a new one comes out I buy the new one and give old one to a friend. I also brought one to just to give to a friend so we coukd challenge one another. I have noticed when you put a lot of music on the watch the features such as exercise tracking freeze up. This happened on both this gear fit pro2 and the gear fit2. I really wish you woukd had exercises like Zumba to the list. Finally make the Samsung brand available to weight watchers and other health programs. Otherwise the watch is great.

I had it for few weeks now. I get good battery life, has independent gps location tracking. Music can be downloaded to the device and is pretty functional. If it had more apps, which are useful, it would be better. I wish it could take voice commands. Also, built-in speakers would be nice.

Battery life and accuracy are disappointing!

I was so excited to get this fitness tracker but I'm really dissatisfied and it's been over 15 days so I have no option to return it. The heart rate monitor eats the battery up pretty fast but if you don't turn it on it won't automatically track during a workout. I was manually turning it on but kept forgetting to turn it off. I decided to just leave it turned on but it dies after about 36 hours. It doesn't seem to be very accurate with tracking steps or stairs. I'm sure I didn't climb 17 sets of stairs on the 2nd day but I got an "award" for it anyway. I really like Samsung products overall but this one wasn't worth the money. I'm going to sell it and try something else.
