Great features but terrible quality

i have owned three of these devices since they came out. the first one's battery stopped holdo g a charge after the warranty was up. the second one broke where the strap connects to the watch body. the screen on the third and final one stopped working and is now either black or grey static. i do not reccommend samsung wearables. the quality is questionable and their customer service is quick to deny any responsibility for obvious product defects. very disappointing.

High hopes...disappointed

I have had this watch for just over a year now. I love that it registers how far I've run and tracks my info. But, even when it was brand new, I would have to fully charge the watch before I went on a run. Tracking distance, HR, playing music, etc., would overtax the battery and run it dry in less than 90 min. Now, after a year, I get 45 min out of it max. And to top it all off, my band just broke. I am very careful with the watch, and yet the band just disintegrated. Glad it was while I was sitting at my desk instead of while running (when I could have lost or damaged it). I also HATE that I cannot download and manage my information directly to my desktop. I can only use the S-Health app on my phone, and cannot even connect it to my desktop. So all info remains on my phone/watch where it is hard to analyze, save or share.

Like other reviews here my Gear Fit2 Pro lasted 8 months before the screen failed. Samsung refused to honor their warranty so I paid for a new screen. 3 days later the watch band broke where it connected to the watch. The service center apparently didn't notice the condition of the band when replacing the screen. The connection to the support apps are very poor. Overall a terrible product and I will not purchase another Samsung product again.

Bad Design and Even Worst Customer Service

Samsung customer service is the worst! As are their products. I have a Samsung Gear Fit2Pro watch that only lasted 2 years. They refused to fix it. The band is separating from the main watch face and is now unsafe to wear. I asked to speak with a manager and was refused. I will be replacing a lot of electronics in my house this year and non of them will be Samsung. I will never purchase another Samsung product as both their products and customer service are trash.

I got this for my academy since they dont allow phones on site and I wanted to track my activities but I ended up using it more than intended. The apps I downloaded for it made it more useful especially when I didnt have my phone,tho I was excited to see the new version of the watch come out....yeah they dumb it down and all the things I did this watch didnt carry over to the new "Galaxy Fit" so yeah I'm going to stick with this and wait till they either come out with a better version that did the same as this watch, If not I'm just keep using this one till it dies and find a better replacement than can do the same or better.

Received for Christmas 2018, by July 2019 all it did was flash. Set up warranty claim, low and behold just as everyone else has reported liquid damage no warranty...just like others, I have never been swimming with this on. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a little sweat (I say a little as I don't work out) and a few drops of water washing my hands would cause liquid damage. All I keep seeing from various Samsung web pages is that I don't have to worry about rain, showering or swimming with my Gear device.

I love the Samsung family of products, but sadly the Gear Fit2 Pro battery life is the most frustrating thing. I tried everything (EVERYTHING) possible to eek more than a day of life out of this wearable but have mostly failed. I am lucky to make it 18hrs without a charge. It's upsetting.I expected more. It's packed with features and works great, but what good is it when it doesn't work when you need it most. I may have to throw in the towel on this product and move on.

crashing all the time, dead for no reason

I bought this watch a year ago, even when so many reviews were bad because I love Samsung phones, but truly this thing is really bad. Not only has crashes all the time but sometimes will shut down for no reason, or not using the GPS, or draining the battery in less than 5 hours. I sent it to the Samsung service for fixing all those things a month ago, and today the watch was completely dead, not turning on anymore. Samsung makes amazing phones and other products, but this watch is the worst, like throwing your money to the trash.

The box is super misleading! It says the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters. I literally wore it twice to my 2 year old's swim lessons. The lessons were in a 2 foot pool for 25 minutes a piece. I turned the watch on water mode both times. I followed instructions to shake the watch after I was done. After 2 days, the watch died. I sent it in to Samsung as it was under warranty. They called me and said it had water damage and that it was not covered under warranty. They told me there was 30 minute time cap on the watch being in water. I was in the pool for 25 minutes at a time with the watch being completely out of water the majority of it. They said it would be $125 to start to repair the watch. I told them not to worry about fixing it. I'll just pitch it in the trash when they send it back. I had the watch for less than 5 months. Total junk. I will never buy another Samsung watch and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anymore.

If you are really trying to track your fitness this is not the watch for you to buy. If you like techno garbage marketed as "fitness trackers" buy away. The HR monitor rarely works. The watch face constantly shuts off even if you select the option of it staying always on. You have all sorts of garbage you have to scroll thru just to track your specific workout. I could go on and on. Buy a Garmin if you are an athlete trying to keep real time tracking of your running

Worst tracker I've ever owned

I've tried 3 different brands of fitness tracker. A major magazine said this one was the best, so I tried it. It was the worst I've ever owned. Not even 7 months and the bands break off, follwed by the buttons that are supposed to release the band so I couldn't replace it. Tech support said bands are not covered by warranty. This is not a piece of jewelry. I expect a fitness tracker to be a little hardier than this. Will not buy another. It should also be noted that, unlike other trackers on the market, this one will not track steps bicycling if you attach to your leg.

Fantastic smart band

Does everything really well. Sleep tracking, HR sensor is better than my fitbit. The display is just the best i've seen on a fitness smartwatch like this. Features are great, spotify connectivity is unparalleled. GPS tracking is super accurate which i use while hiking, biking etc.

Very inaccurate - Not Helpful for Training

This watch works ok if you get the GPS to work when you are working out - the problem is it hardly ever works. Its measurement of distance and pace is way off, and the step counter does not even keep an accurate count! Also, a full battery died on me after less than two hours of running - and I was just listening to music, not using the fitness app. It is not worth the price. Not even close. I had a cheap $25 smartwatch before this one that worked better.

At first I was really loving my watch especially because of the look and fit. But sadly after 6 months the senor was not working. Sent it in for repair 2 times and each time it came back it just wasn't working properly. It would never start at 0 steps/calories. Every morning I had already done 1000+ steps and burned over 2000 + calories over night. Also, it was a very big hassle with the repair center even after showing proof of purchase.

HR monitoring is highly inaccurate during workouts which makes everything else innacurrate. Readings are anywhere from 50-100 bpm off. Ive had the watch read 3 bpm while doing hiit- actual hr was 190bpm... And yes I've done everything Samsung said to do... to include sending it for them to fix. The watch freezes often. Horrible Run Tracker

When no service is available, the device loses runs that I've tracked. It tells me that it will sync to my phone when service is available, but doesn't even save it to the watch itself. Also, the GPS is insanely inaccurate. Today on a 14 mile marked trail run it tracked 17.5 miles. A friends Garmin was right on. It also failed to track elevation data and it did not map the run either. This thing is so inconsistent. What a major letdown and waste of money. Save your cash and buy the more expensive Garmin or Suunto. You'll be much happier!

Great Features, But Horrible Band Quality

I bought this at Best Buy. Within 6 monthes the band broke. The replacement band is not for sale at Best Buy and I cannot locate it anywhere but online. I do not like to make purchases online and am very unhappy that I am FORCED to do so. I now own a watch I can't use.

Broke in less than three months.

I got this as a gift this past Christmas. Broke immediately. And now I'm to pay 1/2 the cost of the item to fix it? That is ridiculous. Not happy with my Fit Pro 2 or maker of it.

Great Idea

Mine lasted about 6 months. Everything worked as described, I was really liking the watch. The battery could have lasted longer but Charging is quick I did it every evening while check email. Well, one day while working ot at the club the watch fell off my wrist. I thought well I'll have to pick up another watch band for it. Well, when I got home and had a good look at it. It wasn't the watch band that was broken. The watch body had actually broken off where the band was attached. No Problem its still in warranty right, No this was considered owner damage, not a factory defect. The offered to fix it for $90 or so. Well, I'm still looking for a replacement since if this watch isn't strong enough to use on a 2 hour 4 day a week workout, fixing or replacing isn't going to help me. Thust my 2 star rating

Should have listened to others

I should have listened to other reviews. This thing kept locking up and now I am out of warranty. It locked up one last time yesterday and now I get no notifications. I have found others that claim the board needed replacing but, as usual. The MFG warranty has just ran out. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again!!

Battery does not and never has lasted for days.

I've had this watch for 14 months and the battery has never lasted for days as described in the features section. I have always had to charge it nightly. Starting a month ago the watch has been shutting off after just a few hours - even on low power mode. Now it doesn't even last for 90 minutes of tennis. I've tried eliminating all power drains by disconnecting it from BT, wireless, GPS but even in low power mode it will only last a short time. This weekend it died two hours after putting it on with a 100% charge and all I did was sit on an airplane.

Item worked fine for, unfortunately, over the 15 day return policy. As today, I noticed the pulse rate was way off. It was, example, reading 123 plus and upon taking my blood pressure, what showed pulse of 70, I tried to retun it. No dice, pass 15 days. My bad......again, SAVE YOU MONEY, DON'T BUY IT.

The tracker is a great tool. It does everything it says and nicely. Two things to know. It is missing one very important vital sign tracker: a blood pressure monitor. Of all the vital signs, it is the most important. The second thing: Battery life. If you have everything running, as I do, the battery life is only about 12 hours before it goes down and needs charging.

Works Great.....for four months

I bought this due to the multiple options for tracking activities, specifically swimming, cycling, and walking. Everything worked great and did what is was supposed to do, but the heart monitor and GPS stopped working exactly four months after I purchased/started using. Went to Samsung for warranty repair and waiting for an update. Unfortunately, they email a link for "real time tracking" of repairs but it goes to a generic service page with no way to view any service tracking. Hoping for the best because that is all I can do at this point.

Have owned 2 both broke within 8months

I'm so sad over this product. I have owned 2 of these. The first one the strap cracked off and away from the screen 8 months after owning and wearing it like normal, never in water. I got a replacement one thru store warranty and after about the same amount of time the second one broke the same way! Now I'm without a watch and looking to purchase another brand. Sad.

I bought this watch over a year ago and I never had a problem. The charge doesn't last as long as they say, but in power saving mode, the watch can go almost 4 days. It can go two days in normal use mode. The biggest problem I have is one time my band broke and I replaced it, but every now and again the new band opens and the watch just falls off my arm. If you have a Samsung phone/use Samsung SHealth, this connects to that app and will display all workouts & allow you to add meals (if you're tracking your caloric intake) right from your watch. You can reply to texts from the watch, but only with predetermined responses (you can edit these). Sometimes, it reads the message and changes the response options (i.e. if someone asks an or question, the watch would grab the two options and let you send back one or the other). It's also a very durable watch. The screen has no scratches even though I bump into door frames a lot. The best part is that the system keeps updating, so it keeps improving. Now, I can see the pictures associated with instagram notifications right on my watch. When I had first bought it, it wasn't enabled with Spotify, but now it is. Definitely a good investment.

Not water or sweat resistant

Stopped working after 8 months. Sent in for warranty repair. Said not repairable due to liquid damage. Never had in water. I can't swim. Only exposure to sweat and maybe occasional hand washing splash. Very poor watch. Poorer customer service and warranty.

True fitness watch

This is a fitness watch and realistically pretty much only a fitness watch. the only time you can text is if somebody text you first you can answer back with quick responses you can not send a text to start. It will track your sleep and Forbes apps work well. Overall not a smart watch, just a fitness watch

Worst Smartwatch. Nothing but issues

Got the watch for my birthday. Tried to remove the bands to change out like its build to do. Couldnt get one clasp to release, after many tried it finally came off with extreme force. Then once other band was attached it would not hold. Band would fall off my wrist. Put original band back on and it fell off. When sent in, they wanted to charge me(even when they said it is under warranty). They werent worried about the clasp. Said there were holes in the back of the watch and wouldn't cover it. So i told them i was filing claim at BBB and would now go to Apple. They conceded to fix it. Sent another watch, my original was large band and got a small back. Same issue still. Clasp wont release. And after 2 days of wearing it, it will not charge. They sent a call tag again and said it probably is the charger, I think its just a bad product. Not satisfied at all. Used Samsung products for a long time but i may become a iPhone and Apple customer soon.

My Gear Fit2 Pro stopped working after 10 months. I sent it in for manufacture warranty work and they claimed they can not fix it due to water damage. I have never had this watch in water. Pretty disappointed because I really did like the features of the watch.

Has become my preferred watch

I bought my initial Fit2Pro about a year ago, but had to replace it after the heart monitor wasn't recording correct. The replacement has been on my wrist for 2 months now and while it was intended as a tactical gym watch, it has become my preferred everyday watch. With the Akolyte watch face it is east to read and keeps the most important functions in plain sight.
