OK. 4 stars for what it is. It improves the sound quality significantly in my small viewing area. The subwoofer adds some rumble. EQ function allows tweaking. I use the optional sound module to power some rear surround speakers built into my room. Despite the impedance mismatch it works just fine. The unit syncs up perfectly and the rear volume can be controlled independently. If you use the little speakers included, which I did not try out but look solid, you must connect with wires. Overall, I find this system intelligently designed with enough tweakability to adapt to your situation. It sounds pretty darned good for what it is.

I've had this setup along with the rear speakers for about 8 months and at first I thought it was me. I had never owned a sound system, but after reading these comments I realize it really is just a weak sub woofer. I've been displeased with it from the start, and wish I had returned it.

This soundbar has nice crisp sound with adjustments for the treble, bass, and subwoofer. I first installed the soundbar and without the wireless kit performed well. A week later I added the wireless back speakers and the biggest difference with the kit added on is watching movies. The only thing I will point out in the set up which was very easy is the cable that runs from the soundbar to the tv has a very small plastic tip that must be removed that is not in the instructions. Consumer Reports gives this product a score equal to other soundbars that cost 10 times this one. The only thing I would change is the remote color from a solid black to white or a mixed color. Overall after using this for the last several weeks my tv viewing experience is much better.

I've had two Samsung sound bars before, and this one and this one sounds much clearer and the bass is deeper. The center channel makes vocals sound more crisp and pronounced. I did use the built in EQ to raise the low end on the mids and its perfect. The sub level stays at 0 because Samsung tuned it right the first time. Looks great under the tv and with wireless sound connect makes it look sleek with no cables to the Tv. This is a great sound bar for a clean look and clear sound. I differently suggest Samsung sound bars to all my friends and this sound bar makes that easy.

Well I have tried hard to see why this has not been given 5 stars all around. Maybe i hooked my system up different not sure, but worked coming right out the box. Instead of have the sound on 22 on my other (Sound bar) holding back on the name. I keep this on on a steady 16 and sounds just a great. thanks Samsung

This product works great. Set up was easy. My Samsung tv connected to it by Bluetooth within seconds. Being wireless all but a power cord makes for easy placement and a really neat install. The subwoofer is attractive and supplies enough base to get the effects I wanted. Some people may want more base. It wont rattle your windows so if that's what you want you may need to look at a more expensive unit. The clear voice setting works well to help us hearing impaired { read that as older people} hear what was said with having to ask. You can add wireless rear speakers to get 5.1 surround.

The HW-K550 Soundbar w/ Wireless Subwoofer is easy to set up. I placed the soundbar on my mantle and the subwoofer near the sofa. The soundbar is fantastic and the features on the remote make it easy to fine tune. The only con I would have to say is that the subwoofer was sub par, I was expecting it to at least compare to my computer subwoofer but it didn't. I have manually adjusted all the EQ's throughout the setup but still didn't get the response I desired. All in all the system is good, I would've liked a little more punch in the bass....I would still recommend this system.

I don't know why I waited so long to take this out of the box (because my husband didn't think we needed it, so wrong!!). All I had to do was take everything out of the box, follow the instructions and the sound bar connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung 4K TV and the sound is so much better. Now the sound goes great with the awesome TV picture.

I purchased the Samsung Sound Bar to replace a Vizio sound bar that I had for a few years. There were many things about the Vizio bar that I didn't like and I ended up not using it often because of those shortcomings. The Samsung sound bar had all of the things I was looking for: a clear but unobtrusive display, low profile for convenient placement in many different areas, a Clear Voice setting that really helps with poor sound quality on streaming videos or network rerun stations, and integration with my new Samsung 4K TV. I've used the sound bar for everything from sportscasts to internet music stations and it's been exactly what I needed. Switching between the various presets, like Movie, TV, Music and even Surround Sound could not be any easier. Another problem I found with the Vizio sound bar is that the sound was often slightly off from the video; that has never happened with the Samsung sound bar. With the excellent price I paid for the Samsung sound bar, I feel I got a great bargain. Oh, and did I mention the separate bass unit connects wirelessly? Now that was an unexpected bonus.

Purchased this soundbar 12/27/16 and am very pleased with the ease of set up & how easy it was to understand & use the features. When watching a program on regular over the air TV it won't impress you, but watch a movie on Hulu,Amazon or Blue ray player or play your music from your favorite app or play list and it comes into its own . That's when you will be impressed with how it performs, from the thumping bass to the crystal clear highs . You feel like you are in the theater watching a movie or front seat at the concert. Will definitely recommend to others.

Beside the impressive sound ,the thing I like best is the ability to use only one(1) remote..Using the TV ARC set-up along with a KS-9500 TV gave me the capability to turn the TV ON/OFF and adjust the volume with the ONE system remote..

We bought this with the rear satellite speakers (SWA-8000S). The price was great, for the quality you get. Sound is very good (the wife would like the bass a little bigger) to excellent. We are very pleased with the surround sound effect with the rear speakers.

I have a problem hearing voices and took back a LG 2.1 sound bar and picked up this 3.1 and it is amazing the difference. Voices are so much easier to understand now. My only problem is sometimes I have to turn it off and back on for the wireless unit to kick in. I am a huge fan of Samsung, have many of their items in my house. LOVE the frig.

Easy install except for a mistake in the directions which required to Samsung for help. After that everything worked well.
The mistake in the directions was about manual installation. It said to hold a couple of buttons for five seconds however that should have been fifteen seconds.

I read many reviews on many sites. Most were good some negative. Some stores had great audio going through the sound bar others did not represent the product well. After hooking it all up I was unsure if I made the right decision as some reviews had said. But taking the time to adjust all the settings the sound bar came to life and gave me that great quality I heard at that one store. I'm pleased with my decision to buy this product. The bass is great, clarity and separation is great and the center speaker really makes a big difference. I highly recommend this sound bar.

The last Home Theatre system I set up about 6 years ago was a huge nitemare involving several trips to local electronics store for unincluded cables n wires to make it work. This set up and install was so easy with my new Samsung 4K Smart TV it seemed criminal how easy it was. As far as the product, crisp clear sound, deep rich bass and I'm really loving the wireless rear, highly recommended. Overall very satisfied.
