Many features that I love. Several issues with induction rings- lights on controls keep blinking. Air Fry and Convection oven works very well. I would like to have an audible cooking timer as I really miss my old one. I am still on a learning curve and I know that I can set a timer on my phone but really would prefer on on the range.

I™€™ve been using this oven for several years now & still totally love it. The induction cooktop is amazing. Took some getting used to as it heats up so quickly so I boiled over a lot in the beginning. Love the stylish control knobs. Oven is roomy & cooks evenly. I really use the small top oven the most & it™€™s great for small family. My only complaint is that the oven signals its heated to temp set and it™€™s not even close. I know to wait another 5-10 minutes. I™€™m sure there™€™s a setting I could change but can™€™t find one. I would buy this oven again in a heartbeat!

Flawed design, get the longest warranty you can.

It was great when it worked, but flawed. Get the longest warranty you can. We bought the range July '21, took delivery Dec '21. In May '22, the range generator board failed and numerous attempts were needed to get parts to complete the repair in Nov '22. Now the generator board has failed again, outside of warranty this time, and will cost 1/2 of the price of the range new. It was great when it worked but flawed design makes it unreliable, difficult to repair, and very expensive.

I loved my original Cafe stove so much, I bought another when we moved to another home. I wamted two ovens, and this model offers that. The upper oven is small, so it preheats quickly and I use it most often. The lower oven accommodates large pots and baking pans, perfect for family-size gatherings. The only improvement I would suggest is trim around the stovetop perimeter. I did somehow break off a bit of glasstop on the original stove, so a bit of trim on the edge would help prevent that.

I hope this oven will give us as good as service as our previous convection oven, which was a GE profile model. That said how disappointing to purchase a $4500 oven and there™€™s no owners manual. Sure I can go online and I can print a manual and staple the sheets together but my God you call this the top of the line. The only documentation I did receive was connecting Wi-Fi one sheet and a couple sheets on induction ranges both printed on newsprint. I am a 36 year service retiree from GE and it™€™s clear they just ain™€™t what they used to be.

I love this stove. I'm no stranger to induction and after moving into a new home, I had to have another. My previous stove was a GE Profile and I loved it. I decided to step up to the Cafe double oven. I love the proof mode for making breads and the induction top does not disappoint at all! I love being able to cook a meal at one temperature and a side dish at another. I wish I had gotten a double over years ago.

I decided to buy this range, against the reviews my wife had read. Ours showed up with a bad control panel. The delivery guy said just call them and they™€™ll send a replacement. We are now 3 weeks and 2 days without working oven. It™€™s supposedly getting fixed in 2 days, provided that is the only issue. I am not satisfied to say the least. I should have listened to my wife.

Very Disappointed. 1. Installing the range was difficult as there was no way to adjust the rear height without pulling out the entire stove. This made if difficult to get the trim pieces to fit correctly. 2. The oven's lowest temperature is 170F 3. It appears that you either need a special pot or temperature sensor to get the precision temperature to work. Another additional cost. The $99.00 dollar hot plate I have does this without a special pot. The last stove we had included a flange on the top edge that fit over the counter top. This should have been integrated into the range rather than having to purchase the cheesy stick on ones

Poor burner layout, bluetooth unnecessary

We have used this range CHS950P2M6S1 for two years. With two of us in the household with occasional guests, I have enjoyed the double oven. When I roast a large piece if meat or large bird, I use a electric roaster outside on the patio. My biggest complaint is the way the burners are organized because they are super fussy about matching the right sized pot with the right sized burner, and the right front burner is humongous. It only fits my canning pot, which I don't use very often, and excludes all other pots and pans because it is too large. That is the location that I would use the most if it fit any of my pots and pans. Also, just now, it does not display the time of day. I have not had an opportunity to try to navigate fixing that because initial call indicated you have to call from a phone that is not connected to the device and my husband has been otherwise occupied. The bluetooth connectivity is not necessary and annoying. I do not need alerts on my phone about what my oven is doing. When I tried to figure out the failed time of day light, it wanted me to disconnect the phone, which I did, but now I am having a hard time to re-connect it. If I cannot get the time of day indicator fixed, three stars will be too generous.

Two ovens but only one timer is a horrible design

We decided to replace our 13 year old double oven range with this Cafe model. I cook and bake a lot and can't believe that GE designed a two-oven range with ONE TIMER (which you can barely hear). Our old double oven range had two timers. Disappointed that I have to purchase timers. However, I am enjoying the induction stove top.

Over 2 years in. Ready to review

So now that I've been around the block a few times with this range, feel it's finally time to review...and happy to still be giving it 5 stars. Easy to clean, fast heating times, even oven and cooktop heating, and highly versatile cooking capacity are the biggest pros. My biggest complaint is that I'm under utilizing it's capabilities (although the weird magnetic noise when on high power can also be off putting). Also be sure to get a good brush and a solid cleaning agent to clean the knobs. Cleaning them is one downside vs. the GE Profile. My last house had a Kitchen Aid double oven gas stove and I fell in love of ditching the bread warming draw in place of a second oven. Vowed never to go back to the single oven. But I didn't love the Kitchen Aid...notably horribly uneven heat distribution in the oven and on the cooktop. My parents and sister have GE Profile induction ranges. They both love their ranges, but I wasn't in love with the cooktop's temp controllers and I "needed" my double ovens. So Cafe it was....and I haven't regretted it one day I've owned it. My kids are both teenagers and both of them love it too.

I was so excited for my new induction double oven range. The 1st one was delivered with the glass induction top broken. Sent back. The 2cd one delivered had a torn rubber piece between stainless and glass top. Sent back. The 3rd one delivered was finally good(I thought). After 1 hr and 15 minutes cooking baked potatoes, I found the potatoes rock hard. Lower oven has a bad thermometer sensing probe. It takes nearly 45 minutes for the oven to stabilize temperature. I have to use a thermometer to make sure the temperature is stable before I use it. Incredibly frustrated with the purchase, especially after spending $5000. I had read on reviews of others having similar issues. I should have honored the reviews and not ordered it. I wish I could return it and get my money back!

Horrible Experience with Toxic Oven, No One Assist

We™€™ve been unable to use our new oven for weeks now because every time we turn it on, it is an incredible toxic chemical smell that fills the whole house. Supposedly this burn off can kill pet birds. My toddler almost passed out. GE sent a technician that said this was normal. We™€™ve tried all recommended actions to no avail. Extremely upset and want to return it. Unusable.

Tremendous stove, absolutely tragic that it requires being connected to WiFi. The first day I went to use it I was required to connect to WiFi to be able to use the Air Fry feature. I connected it briefly, then isolated it on a private network that doesn't have access to the Internet.

I love cooking on this induction top stove and can™€™t imagine ever using a ™€œregular™€ electric stove again. I love the top and bottom oven option, it makes life so much easier for meal preparation and even when baking multiple sheets of cookies, etc.

Tjis thing is solid. Boils water super fast. Not used a whole lot but so far live it! Love the air fryer! My only complaint so far is the burner makes a humming noise. Seems to be due to cheaper pans. But weren™€™t told needed specific indiction cookwear. Plus for this price, a gridfle should be included but isnt. We were given a suggestion after the fact, and its another $169 bucks to get a nice one. Otherwise very happy thus far

Oven temperature highly erratic

Stove top is 5/5. Oven is 1/5. Set the baking temp to 375 and the actual temperature will vary from 350 to 400. Using the 'fine tuning' option (it provides the ability to adjust the oven temp +/- 30 degrees) only moves the 50 degree spread up or down. I understand oven turn their heating element on and off but 50 degree spread? really? Cookies come out flat and burnt! We haven't tried the convection option yet - we are afraid to.

Numbers on clock display are too close and too thin. Clock is often unreadable. Oven temperature is way off. Shows 350 on display, but takes almost 10 minutes more for oven temp to reach 350.

Entire cooktop stopped working

After 6 months, the entire induction cooktop stopped working. Burners won™€™t stay on more than 10 seconds, and yes, the pans are compatible. Now I have a $5k countertop until the repair can be made. In the mean time I™€™ll be using my 10 yr old $100 portable induction burner™€¦an appliance at this price should be better. Additionally, you have to buy their special pans to use the precision cooking™€¦my little standalone controls temp with ANY pan. Do better.

Cafe Double Oven, Induction Cooktop

Love my new range, replaced an original induction range by KitchenAide, and really was unhappy with that. It had.a slide dial and the cooktop turned off every time any water hit the surface of the top, upgraded to Cafe double oven range and induction cooktop with dials for controls. Love the ease of use And the ability to keep it clean now. It does not turn itself off and it does not beep if a plate is placed on the surface. All in all very happy so far!

They look Amazing, but the quality is terrible and will not last. After only 3 years the oven stopped heating properly. I replaced the temperature sensors and that did not change it. I even replaced the main control board and that still did not change it. The range still works, although sometimes will stop working, but will work again when i reset the knob. But no matter what I do I cannot get the oven to heat properly. These are way to expensive for the very poor quality you are getting. There is zero product support. GE does not stand behind their ridiculously expensive line of appliances. You are paying for the good looks, not the quality. I attempted to have this resolved before I wrote any reviews but GE refuses to be of any help other than saying too bad you are out of warranty.

Great oven range combo. I use the two oven compartments all the time. The induction range takes a little getting used to but I'll never go back to gas or electric now. Horribly expensive but I did buy it and will be keeping it, so I think it's worth it...

The good, the bad and the crazy!

The stovetop itself is fine. I like how quickly each unit heats up, and how accurate the temperature dial is. I haven™€™t used all the features yet. I wish the sales team would have talked to us about the noise the magnets make when using the induction stove, though. The oven is another matter. Even new, the racks do not slide easily. Yes, graphite was included but that just means the company is aware of the problem and is willing to ™€œfix it™€ with this temporary solution. I looked into buying more racks in rollers . (The unit comes with one.) But they are extremely expensive™€¦I wanted 4 and they were over $500 each! I think that™€™s outrageous!

Poor performance

Have had this Cafe range for two and half years. The stove top stopped working just before Thanksgiving. The Bodewell technician said it needed a new computer board. $1,000. When the new board came, he said we needed heavier cookware. We have the best induction cookware (New York Times). He said unless we use cask iron or equivalent weight, we will have to replace the computer board every two years. Ridiculous!!!!

So far, we love the oven! The cook top is sleek and cleans easily, the installation was quick and easy, the double oven is super nice to have, especially in a compact space. You don™€™t heat up space you aren™€™t using! I don™€™t love that not all the features are available on the oven, but you need to use your phone to access them. The air fry mode is only usable with a smart phone app. My husband isn™€™t a fan of the slight humming noise that happens when you turn it on, but we bought it for the power and because it is electric and not gas, and it works well for what we need!

I was very excited to get my new induction range. It has a lot of great features which I'm very please about. Some of the issues I have: Stove top controls and SAFETY! I have cabinets above my range (which is not unusual) when I reach up to get something out of those cabinets (that I need for cooking) I involuntarily brush up against the control knobs and they turn on. If the stove top is empty no problem, but if there is cookware on the stove top that creates a BIG SAFETY ISSUE in my opinion. These knobs turn very easily! Glad I typically do not have pets or young children in my home. Instruction Manual. The full instruction manual is not provided. Yes I have downloaded the PDF manual and it is easy to use however, when you are first learning about new equipment in your home a paper manual that you can actually use with that new product in the same room is much more convenient than going to another room to look up the info on the computer/laptop. phones are too small. I paid a lot for this range a paper manual doesn't really cost that much, does it? Timer. The ranger timer is very quiet! There are 3 volume levels. The loudest volume cannot be heard above people talking or if you go to another room so I need to resort to my phone timer or the microwave timer...really? That is unacceptable. Like I said before I paid a lot of money to have this induction range, these are basic features that should be well thought out before it goes to market.

Pretty, but flawed

Have had this range for about 9 months. We use stainless steel and have one non-stick pan for eggs. The range itself is beautiful and so so easy to clean. We frequently use the two ovens at once, though using Proof Mode in the upper oven with the lower on Bake is not suggested in my experience. The issues are as follows: 1- The large burner gets pans too hot. Medium scorched my stainless steel pan! The large burner is not trustworthy above Medium for ANY pan. 2- the oven temperature is not accurate. Two separate thermometers confirmed that BOTH ovens under-heat. It™€™s pretty frustrating, I shouldn™€™t have to ™€˜calibrate™€™ my oven! Boils water hecka fast, so there™€™s that.
